2019 Bull League All-Star Game

2021

The 2020 Bull League All-Star Game was the 28th annual Bull League All-Star Game contest played between the top players in the two major-level leagues, the Lake League (LL) and the Metropolitan League (ML), as selected by the General Managers of the 20 teams.

The game was held at The Burg in St. Petersburg, Florida, home ballpark of the ML's St. Petersburg Admirals, who were the 2019 Bull Cup champions.

Broadcast

The game was broadcast live on the Bull League's Twitch streaming channel on June 16, 2019, and is available for viewing on the league YouTube channel. It is the second time the All-Star game has been streamed live on Twitch. The first occasion was the 2018 Bull League All-Star Game, which was also the first broadcast featuring a fully customized 3D stadium, Inferno Park.

Game summary

Fresh off a Rookie of the Year Award winning 2019 season, Detroit's Peyton Bint had a momentum-changing 2-run home run off Cain Morris in the 3rd inning that set the pace for the Lake League, putting them ahead 3-1. It was a first All-Star appearance for "Big P", the 24-year-old switch-hitting first baseman from Chatham-Kent, Canada.

The Metro League cut the lead by a run in the 5th, but fell behind again in the 6th. The Metro League was not done, however, and came up with a big 3-run bomb by Justin Reich off of the Milwaukee Hops' reliever, Gene Becker. With the game tied at 5 going into the 9th, it was up to LL 3-time Rookie of the Month winner, John Rambo, the sensational star from the Chicago Pit Bulls, to finally put the game out of reach with a 2-run shot to the ice berg pond in right field.
