The Halifax Gunboats are a Canadian professional baseball team based in Halifax, Nova Scotia. They play in the Atlantic Coast League's North division and are the Cow League (AAA-level) affiliate of the Boston Brawlers. They play at Winkers Ballpark.

The team has several playoff appearances, but only one Cow League Championship Series win, in 2012.

Their all-time win-loss record is 843-823 (.506).

The team was first formed as the Markham Winkers in the former North-East League's East division, based in Markham, Ontario. They finished first in that division in their first season, 1995, with a 41-31 record, but lost in the NEL Championships to the Oakland Dukes. As the Winkers, they would go on to see two more playoffs (1997 and 1998), becoming the NEL champions in 1998.

The team had many early successes, and set the Cow League team record for wins in 1997 with 52. That year the team also set an NEL record for team ERA with 2.73, and set a league attendance record with 564,470 fans (still the 3rd highest).

The successes wore off, however, and in 2004, the team moved to their present home in Halifax, Nova Scotia, and took the name Halifax Gunboats, evoking the strong naval history of their new city. They continued to struggle in their search for success before finally making the playoffs again in 2010, and then two years later, in 2012, when they won the Cow League Championship Series.

In 2017, the Cow League reorganized and the team was moved to the new Atlantic Coast League's North division.
