I-71 series

The I-71 series was the name given to the rivalry between two Lake League West division teams, the Louisville Sluggers and the Ohio Oxen. The rivalry was caused by the relocation of both clubs to within 99 miles of each other along Interstate 71 prior to the beginning of the 2018 season.

The Sluggers since relocated further away, becoming the Milwaukee Hops, effectively cooling off the rivalry, though the teams remain in the same division and Oxen fan have long-standing grievances over the drafting of Les Groves, who was supposed to have come to Ohio.
