The Philadelphia Liberty Warriors are an American Bull League baseball team based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The team is located in the American Eagle League (AEL) East division.

History

The team was first formed in 1995 as the Denver Highlanders, and were one of four teams added in an expansion that year. One of the other teams, Calgary Chinooks, were placed in the AEL East along with Denver.

The team has struggled to find success, winning just two division titles in its 22 year history. However, with the introduction of wild card playoff seeds, they have in recent years found themselves in the postseason more often. In 2000, the team set what were then AEL records for fewest wins (21) and most losses (59), both of which have since been surpassed by other teams.

The Highlanders also have the AEL team record for the worst BB/9 IP, allowing an average of 5.19 walks per nine innings in 2007.

In March, 2017, the team was re-named to the Denver Danger.[1]

Championships

Denver has only won two division titles in their 22 year history. In recent years, they have had wild card entries into the playoffs, but lost during the Elimination Round each time.[2]
