| A major tactic implemented to almost all Hillbilly player's arsenal is using his Chainsaw charge as a recon ability. Given how incredibly fast the ability is it allows for Hillbilly players to make rounds of a given area extremely efficiently. Plus the fact that the charge has no in-game stopping point other than running into a hazard allows for Hillbilly player to almost endlessly run around a given map. Making it quite easy to find and take out Survivors in the blink of an eye. So utilizing the Chainsaw charge as less of a pure offensive tool and more of a method to efficiently travel a map is the sign of a smart Hillbilly pla | Behavior Interactive's Dead by Daylight has gained quite a popular following due to its unique and interesting asymmetrical gameplay. Since the killer role has to take on four survivors, it's pivotal to play a killer that can make the most of its situation against the survivor t |

| Dead by Daylight was released on PC back in June 2016, and while it was not immediately a hit from the start, its small community stayed committed to this unique [[https://Dbdportal.com/posts/dead-by-daylight-update-9-1-1-fixing-the-walking-dead-chaos|game update 9.1.1]], despite it receiving mixed reviews in the beginning. Overall, it was not a game with a particularly high budget, but despite a rough launch and a few rough edges, Dead by Daylight's fan-base remained in place and it eventually simmered to a boiling point over time. Dead by Daylight has amassed a fairly large, active and hardcore player-base, and, overall, it defied initial expectations made by many who likely assumed the game would never catch on or become much of anything. Dead by Daylight is a game that has grown stronger with age and likely survived take-off from its launch point because of its unique mechanical theme in essentially creating an asymmetrical multiplayer simulation of a 1980's slasher horror f | If you purchase Dead by Daylight today then you will certainly have plenty of characters to play as. You also won't have access to many of the killers and survivors that have come out since the game launched in 2016. Extra content is obtainable via in-game currency, but it is extremely diffic |

| Silent Hill 2 follows James Sunderland as he searches the town of Silent Hill to find his wife Mary, who despite dying prior to the events of the game has sent him a letter asking to meet. The player comes to understand that James' guilt over smothering Mary after growing frustrated with her deteriorating mental state due to a terminal illness has influenced the hellish Otherworld he explores. Pyramid Head becomes the judge and executioner for James in this world, a monster that is "a sadistic and merciless killer fixated on dispensing punishment through pain" according to Behaviour's press rele | When a survivor cleanses in a pool, the Plague can use that pool to get Corrupt Purge which will damage survivors when the Plague throws up on them. The Plague is certainly interesting to play as but if players are just putting up with the corruption instead of cleansing it then the Plague is severely limited in terms of options. However, a recent buff makes it so she can always get at least one pool of Corrupt Purge in a match so at least she isn't completely powerless when no survivor's clea |

| The Silent Hill DLC Chapter will make some content available to all players when it releases for PC and consoles on June 16, such as a map recreating Silent Hill 1 's Midwich Elementary School. The ability to play as Pyramid Head is locked behind a paywall, but even those who do not purchase the DLC may encounter a player using the Killer. Richard said that as a "hardcore" Silent Hill fan it was "important" for him to base the design and perks of this iconic character after his appearance in Silent Hill 2 , so understanding that origin may help players know how to approach Pyramid H | To run, a person needs to learn how to walk, the same philosophy is applicable in the Dead by Daylight online community. | Cote said the team still has a lot of original stories to tell so that Dead by Daylight is "first and foremost" its own lore that can invite visitors like Pyramid Head without "diluting" it. Any medium which could fit well within their world would be open to discussion in the future, he said, and there are still some properties that are "big enough" to make it into Dead by Daylight . However being recognized by "legends of our own industry" is humbling to the team, and Cote said they hope to do Pyramid Head just | His power, The Redeemer, is a rifle that fires a chain that tethers a survivor and drags them to The Deathslinger. The survivor can struggle and break the chain or use the environment to help break the connection. The power itself is pretty helpful when struggling against looping survivors, but high-skill players will find ways to easily break the connect |

| There is a healthy balance of give and take on both sides, and in the end, one side is victorious by a narrow margin. This could mean that a killer or hunter does a lot of damage to the team (multiple hooks or downs, but no kills), or that all objectives are complete, only for everyone to die right before escap | Legion - Last on the list is Legion, one of the more recent killers added to the [[https://dbdportal.com/posts/the-unseen-dream-dead-by-daylight-s-smash-bros-ambition|Nintendo Horror game]]. The constant reworks and nerfs to Legion have made them virtually unusable and more tedious to play than fun. The concept of a killer being able to vault and slide across pallets like a survivor is interesting, but since Legion specializes in the delayed downing of survivors it's more annoying to play them than its worth. Behavior has made this promising killer into a joke among the Dead by Daylight commun |

| Dead by Daylight is a popular asymmetrical survival-horror game that entails a group of survivors being stranded in a limbo-state of reality that's overlooked by an evil eternal presence called, "The Entity". They are forced to take trails and survive situations in various realms while evading a killer within their own stomping grounds. This game was originally released on June 14, 2016, by Behaviour Interactive and it's now available on multiple gaming platforms. Players take control of four distinct survivors that each has its own perks and stats while the killer is also controlled by another player, as well . Players need to power-up five generators that are scattered throughout the map so they can open up the exit gates and escape. Meanwhile, the killer looms throughout the map, snatching up the survivors and placing them on meathooks as a sacrifice for The Ent | Dead Man's Switch is the second new perk, and there is certainly potential for usefulness here with certain killers. Since the perk only activates when hooking the Obsession, it all but requires pairing with the Nemesis perk to constantly have a stream of viable targets. Otherwise, the most value one could get from this perk is three activations, and that would require either a bit of luck playing optimally, or tunneling and camping a single survi |

| A very important aspect to Legion's Feral Frenzy is that when the Killer inflicts the Deep Wound status effect he gains two significant buffs. The first being that he maintains his Feral Frenzy buff, and can chain multiple Deep Wound attacks together to maintain his powerful buff. This makes Legion a hypermobile and incredibly quick killer able to essentially dominate a map's space with little to no difficulty. But arguably the most important aspect to Feral Frenzy is an ability related to the skill, and that is Legion's Killer Insti | Given his ability to cover large distances, Demogorgon's ability to catch up to survivors is surprisingly lacking. Although his lunging attack is a powerful move, it is rather finicky at times. It requires a certain degree of accuracy to connect against evasive survivors and has smaller range than a killer would hope for. Plus his recovery animation after whiffing the lung is glacial at times and can easily grant a survivor the time required to esc |

| | This review will focus primarily on the Deathslinger and his perks, because while new survivors are a welcome addition, they are all identical in gameplay thanks to teachable perks. In creating the newest killer, developer Behavior Interactive went about as far in the opposite direction from their creation, Kazan Yamaoka, generally referred to as the Oni. Instead of a rampaging hulk that can one-shot an entire team in a blaze of pain and speed, the Deathslinger is a slower, methodical killer that uses his modified rifle to take aim, fire, and impale a survivor on a chain before pulling them in and striking with a bayo |

The Cannibal wields a chainsaw which he can swing around wildly and it will instantly down any survivor who is hit by it. However, if Bubba hits an object he will throw a tantrum and be locked in place for a few seconds while he wildly swings his chainsaw. The tantrum is near-impossible to control but if a survivor happens to be in range when it happens they will be downed just as if he were hitting them with it with the sw |

| | Compared to the last killer release, the Oni, there is a much larger skill-ceiling needed to properly maneuver the rampaging killer and navigate obstacles on a map to use Demon Dash and Strike effectively. The simplicity of the Deathslinger’s design allows players of all ranks to be effective killers. Combined with a beautiful new map in the Dead Dawg Saloon and a new survivor, whose perks will be covered elsewhere, Chains of Hate is a must-have DLC for all play |

| | A solid strategy when using the Demogorgon is to place a portal at every generator or major location across a map. This allows the killer to have access to any location that a survivor may deem as advantageous. On top of this accessibility, the Demogorgon can activate each of these portals to essentially have a full surveillance camera to watch over these key areas. This allows the killer to lock down any offensive attempts made by the survivors and to excel at dominating the online ar |
