-With Destiny 2 though, it feels like the opposite is true. They’ve been caught lying multiple timeshave made little effort to improve their communications with fans and what improvements they do deliver are hampered by the likes of the Prismatic Matrix. Destiny 2 is in deep trouble right nowbut that doesn’t seem to matter to Bungie so long as they can keep the remaining players just happy enough to keep buying loot those boxes.+We liked the way the HunterTitan and Warlock complement each other. In terms of the lorethese are all disciplines that took centuries to discover and master. At this moment in time, the theme is about losing those abilities and rediscovering them. It’s about mastering them in some new and exciting ways.

-I’ll admit it, I was worried for Sunset OverdriveWe barely got to see anything at E3and what they were demoing was a tower defense-esque multiplayer mode. It seemed to have all the charm that Insomniac Games is known for, but you could never be certain with the amount of hype Microsoft was putting behind itThankfully, the Burbank-studio delivered as Sunset Overdrive is an enthralling, over the top shooter that messes Jet Set Radio with Crackdown into one neat packageWith fourth wall breaking dialogue, one of the most colorful open worlds to be found, and creative arsenal at your disposalSunset Overdrive is Xbox One’prized jewel.+Destiny 2 is headed in the right direction. Perhaps it's too little too late or maybe it could pull a healthy player base back in. For nowDestiny 2 is trying its best and is showing signs of quality of life for its futureToday it’s no surprise when buying a new game to be hit immediately by a patchbecause what game makes it out of the door ever without having to go through a few updates and patches once it’s out the gate? Usually a major update will hit games freshly released within the first month followed by the steady stream of content and improvementsAll of this is commonplace in the video game world and yet we as the audience still find time to get mad that games aren’t the perfect embodiment of what was envisioned. Developers do have a responsibility to be open with their audience and it does become a let down when certain things promised are nowhere to be seen or the game is more broken than let onSo let the saga of Destiny as it continues through the ages be a lessonone that we are seeing more and more frequently – Anthem is on the horizon, after all. But it'our responsibility as players and developers to keep the dialogue going to get the best experience possible from all sides. Good luck out there, Guardian.

Destiny is raising itself to the ground and just like a flower that finds a way to bud up through the ashesjust maybe Destiny 2 will deliver on things its parent game couldn’t. By the likes of the new trailer as flames consume the Last City and the Towers burn with it, it gives cause to rise up and begin the fight anewThis is time for Guardians new-and-old to band together and join in what is sure to continue a name of legacy, even if Destiny didnt quite get everything right. Before any of that can begin, Destiny is turning it on and by far this is the best time to give it the send off it deserves.+Completing the campaign can last anywhere between 6-8 hours, and that time is mostly filled with well-written and varied missionsSure, some cookie-cutter missions are just there to pad out the lengthbut for the majority of missionsthere’s more than enough context and agency to keep players goingOne mission you may be driving vehicle, in another you’re escorting a valuable object and then you may be teleporting around areas to save a friend. There’s a lot more variety on display in Destiny 2s missions.

-Speaking of space-magicmore lore has been filled in with the arrival of new ghost. Yesnot everyone wants to crawl to the internet to discovery the intricate workings of just what makes Destiny tick, but for lore-nerds like me, this is a dream come trueI will gladly take more lore, because for those who don’t know, Destiny has some crazy cool sci-fi/fantasy lore. When is space-magic a bad thing? It’s not. Any tad bit more of lore to leak out will be greedily consumed until the next one arrives. It might seem like a small thingbut all those NPCs aren’t just spotting nonsense, they are referencing things. It’s the same reason every item has a cryptic description. In fact, this might be the best time to get to know Destiny. Might as well see how it all came to be while waiting for Destiny 2right? So, go read that loreIt’s crazy and out-there in the best of ways. Just know it's heavy on the space-magic -- a wizard did come from the moon, after all. If that doesn’t sum it up, I don’t know what does.+Much of the gameplay changes lie under the hood. PrimarySpecial and Heavy weapon classifications have been replaced with Kinetic, Energy and Power weapon classifications. While many may lament the fact that Sniper RiflesFusion Rifles and Shotguns have been moved to the Power Weapon slot, the changes made to the classifications are ultimately smartPlayers now have more viable weapons to choose frommaking it easier to melt enemy shields with Energy Weaponspound unshielded enemies with Kinectic Weaponry and better control crowds with Power WeaponsNew gun types like the submachine gun and grenade launcher are thrown in to add more variety and are quite fun to use.

-Bungie has completely overhauled the way guns are classified in Destiny 2. In the original gameyou had primary, a secondary and a heavy weaponThat’gone, replaced by the new KineticEnergy and Power classification system.+One of the biggest questions around Destiny 2 is if Activision and Bungie are doing enough to fix what is an extremely wonky machineand if so, can it be saved? Destiny 2 does have dedicated fan basebut even that has hit low point compared to when Destiny found itself going through these same woes, just with less grief, which makes sense. Destiny isn't perfect and it came long way from when it launched, but many of the problems in Destiny 2 didn't exist for DestinyIn many ways [[https://Www.destiny2Focus.com/articles/xur-s-tower-treasure-troop-september-2025-exotic-haul.html|Xur location destiny 2]] 2 felt like it had taken about a thousand steps back. Now Destiny 2 finds itself not only on the same trajectory as the originalbut also with more patches and leaks to fix. The boat was sinking as soon as it hit water, it just took a little time at sea to see just how bad things were.

-The Forza series has never been my cup of tea, at least not until Forza Horizon. Driving through the beautiful scenery of Colorado in semi-open world environment really made me appreciate the mechanics behind the series, while at the same time had me lightly touching upon the more hardcore tuning aspectsTurn10 Studios and Playground Games were able to expand upon thisbringing us to the luscious and visually breathtaking Southern Europe. It’s the interconnected world that ties into Xbox Live’s social features that really brings the world to life, as driving through the vast open world will never make you feel alone. If there’s one racing game you need to play, it’s Forza Horizon 2; it’s certainly the closest we’ll get to another Burnout Paradise.+We delivered solid experience on all platforms we shipped Destiny onWith Destiny 2 being on modern hardware we’re able to create bigger environmentsmore elaborate activities for more players to enjoy, and put more enemy combatants on screen.

-Whether you’re grown adult or a child, who doesn’t love Pokémon? The release of the Gameboy Advance began arguably the best era for handheld games, and leading the march was Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire. These twelve year old games brought us the third generation of Pokémon we love todayso it seemed only fit for Nintendo to remake the duo. With their new 3D engine, Nostalgia hits hard for those who grew up in the late 90s and early 00sas Game Freak was able to recreate everything youve come to love, while at the same time adding on top of itWhile it would still be great to see new Pokémon adventuresthis is one of the few cases a remake was warranted. Now all we need a second remake of Red and Blue.+The campaign kicks off with bang. Returning home to The Last Cityyou and your Ghost discover that the city has come under siege by the Cabal Empire’s Red Legion. Led by Dominus Gaul, the Legion successfully captures the Travelercutting off all Guardians connection to the LightWithout Lightyou must become the rallying point for all surviving Guardians, re-unite the Vanguard and retake what Gaul has taken from you.

-While including loot box that doesn’t award duplicates is better than only having completely random loot boxesdoing so doesn’t take away from the fact that Bungie’s game is still highly encouraging its players to engage with loot boxes instead of actually earning lootIt also doesn’t take away from the fact that they’re still pushing random microtransactions in a game with a sixty dollars price tag and  [[https://www.destiny2focus.com/articles/a-guardian-s-odyssey-navigating-the-dawn-of-edge-of-fate.html|illegal Armor rolls]] paid DLCWhat’s more, they don't appear to see anything wrong with this.+Bungie did turn corner with the laying out of the plan moving forward for Destiny 2which was a nice gesture, but showing us the content road ahead isn’t what earns trust back ; it’s the work put into Destiny 2. Guardians have been putting in the work of playing the gameMany couldn’t keep up with the grind, but those that stayed see that brighter tomorrow that every NPC is always gabbing about to whichever Guardian will listen.

+Destiny 2 has finally, truly been revealed. Bungie and Activision finally lifted the curtain on the much-anticipated sequel, showcasing gameplay for the first time. Hardcore Gamer was able to sit down with Bungie's Community Manager, David 'DeeJ' Dauge to discuss what new stuff Destiny 2 brings to the table and what the future holds for the franchise.
