-The European Dead Zone is the most impressive open area Destiny has ever had. It’s expansivebeautiful to travel through, and filled with entertaining activities like Public Events and Adventures. Unfortunately, Patrols remain basic,  Armor Mods Unlock and Devrim Kay doesn’t entirely solve the traveling back and forth between open areas and social space problem. Stillthe EDZ is massive improvement over what came before, and hopefully, the rest of the open areas can deliver similar experience to the EDZ.+Of all the things players can do in the open area, Adventures are the most story-drivenPresented on the map as an orange banner with a white swordthese activities task Guardians with following series of objectives. StructurallyAdventures most resemble the mission design of missions from the original; get an objective, go clear out wave of enemies, listen to Ghost speculate a bit, and battle a boss.

-(Image: https://i.ytimg.com/vi/CbTvHBzku4U/sddefault.jpg)It has been a long time since we’ve seen a proper Bungie game on PC. Outside of the first two Halo games ported well after the factthe now Washington-based studio wasn’t always well known for their console releasesAfter splitting off from Microsoft and the Halo brand, Bungie worked on their next major project, and while it was met with mixed reception, it quickly became one of the biggest new IPs this generationinevitably spawning a sequel. Destiny 2 was released last month with numerous improvement to the formula, and even though it didn’t completely blow everyone away, it still has a strong, dedicated fanbase. One group of gamers that still needs to experience the Destiny love is PC players, but finally that has been rectifiedActivision and Bungie have released the multi-million selling sequel to the open platform, but is it what PC gamers had hoped for or is this a franchise better left on dedicated consoles?+Speaking of enemiesDestiny 2 doesn’t add anything new to the mixEach of the factions from the original game returns with a few new unitsbut they don’t change the fact that these are the same enemies we’ve been shooting for the past three yearsConsidering we’re exploring new, exotic worlds, it would have been nice to get some new enemy species thrown in.

-For example, in the EDZ, one Adventure features the Taken taking up residence deep in the forest. At first, the mission is simply about pushing forward and clearing away all hostiles. Following some speculation by Ghost about why the Taken are here, players face off against Taken Cabal boss who remains shielded as long as grunts are running aboutTake care of themand the boss becomes vulnerable until more grunts spawn. +The story campaign has more missions and cinematics than you’ve ever seen in a Destiny gameThe player experience has more variety, more types of activities, and more ways for you to enjoy the experience by yourself, or with other players. It isin terms of the action youll enjoy Stat scaling system more diverse experience than any Bungie game ever.

-With these sorts of compromises becoming commonplaceit’s no wonder that there are many gamers out there who’ve become afraid of the casual audience. More and more often they’re seeing niche series they enjoy getting compromised and simplified for the sake of attracting the casual player. Are they right to vilify the casual audience? Noabsolutely not . Like it or not, the casual audience is vital to gamings survival and it’s not the their fault that publishers are trying to get their attention. Instead of insulting and ridiculing casual playershardcore fans should be trying to bring them into the foldIn fact, publishers and developers should be trying to do the same thingMajor departures like Fallout 4 and Dead Space 3 would better serve their creators and IP as side-games rather than mainline series entries. If a given publisher’goal really is to expand a series’ player base, then use these sorts of games to attract people that can actually be converted into fans rather than simply going for the easy sale. They should be trying to create long-term customers rather than simply attract short-term guests. There is still great value to be found and lots of money to be made in the various genre niches. Their fans are passionate and are willing to support honest effort if it means getting more of what they loveIt’s just matter of respecting them and the series they love when trying to increase their ranks.+

Casual players are the single largest audience in gaming; there’s no getting around it. This is the audience that every major publisher wants to appeal to; the one group that every development studio hopes will latch onto their game. After all, capturing the attention of the casual or mainstream audience usually means massive success and wondrous profit. So it’s understandable that they, publishers especially, would have a vested interest in making their games more accessible and appealing to that audience. Making that appeal often means simplification. The simpler the game is, the more accessible it is, the more mainstream appeal it can have. While there’s nothing innately wrong with making one’s game more accessible to the wider gaming audience, doing so always comes at a cost. Just as a game cannot be both simple and complex, neither can it simultaneously serve its niche and successfully appeal to the mainstream audience. Therefore compromises must be made, usually ones that rob the game of what made it special in the first place. Casual players are the single largest audience in gaming; there’s no getting around it. -There are a total of eight maps and five game modesSupremacy, Clash, and Control are part of the Quickplay optionand new modes Countdown and Survival are part of CompetitiveUnfortunately, there is no option to select the game mode you want once you select Quickplay or Competitive. If you really want to play Controlyou have to hope that the game’s matchmaking doesn’t randomly throw you into Supremacy or Clash.+Destiny nailed its gameplay mechanics perfectly out of the gate and those carry beautifully into Destiny 2Aiming and shooting feel fantasticwhile platforming has been tightened up with Guardians now able to clamber over ledgesJumping is still a little floatybut the clambering should help players avoid some unnecessary deaths.

-Of all the things players can do in the open areaAdventures are the most story-drivenPresented on the map as an orange banner with white swordthese activities task Guardians with following series of objectivesStructurallyAdventures most resemble the mission design of missions from the original; get an objectivego clear out wave of enemieslisten to Ghost speculate bit, and battle boss.+Destiny came up short in many departments following its 2014 launch, including exploration. Exploring Earth, Venus, Mars and the Moon was supposed to be exciting, but ended up being a chore. The open areas of each planet were flatplain and lacked exciting activities to participate inThey were pretty but didn't have substance to keep players entertained outside of mindless busywork. This is something Bungie is directly addressing with Destiny 2.
 +
+The most immediate change is the environment. The Tower always seemed like an elusive thing; my Guardian didn’t feel close to those she was supposedly protecting. How is one supposed to feel like hero when there really isn’t anyone worth saving? Heroes come in all shapes and sizeswhether fighting actual battles or just being that person someone looks up to, heroes aren’t made without those to protect. Although, it could be argued Guardians are more warriors…never mind, no need to go down that path. Needless to say, Guardians are now invested in the people they are protecting; they are going out into the world and fighting back whatever might threaten community broken. It connects Guardians to something worth fighting for: relationship.
+Fallout 4 and Dead Space 3 were both the standout best sellers of their respective seriesMore gamers are familiar with these series thanks to their widespread success. On it’s ownthis success is a good thing. In the case of Fallout at least, it means that the series has a future. Just like with Destiny 2however, that success came with price. In the case of Fallout 4 greater success and mainstream appeal came at the cost of its RPG depth. Instead of defining what kind of character they want to play at the outset of the game, players can instead develop them as they play. The Sole Survivor’s identity is fluid. They can be anything and everything given enough time. They’re basically competent in everything from the outset of the game and developing them is mostly just matter of increasing their damage with/resistance to different types of weapons.
 +
+There were some 3v3 modes like Trials of Osiris. With Destiny 2, we’ve met somewhere in the middle. Every game mode is 4v4 now instead of 3v3 or 6v6. We’ve created a scenario where every single player in the Crucible plays an important role on their team. We’ve placed an emphasis on strategy, teamwork, and communication. You’re going to think lot about how you back each other up, how you play together.
