What can I say? I'm a sucker for Pokemon . The jump to the Switch wasn't without its faults, yet I found myself enjoying every second of my time with the game. The Wild Area brings thrilling new content to the Galar region, the dialog is witty/corny, and the battles strike the sweet spot of being too easy and aggravatingly difficult. Many games might be more technically advanced, or tell a better story, but there isn't a game this year I enjoyed more than the latest Pokemon advent
The explanation blew up in their faces shortly after and #GameFreakLied trended on Twitter as some dataminers claimed that most 3D models in the game was identical to that of the previous game. There were other issues to come that would anger fans of the franchise, and all of Game Freak’s troubles in the matter can be traced to their lack of communication, or in this case as many still feel, deception and outright l
As an extra, additional bonus, this weekend will be a special Bonus Scoring Weekend. There will be 500 points of challenges available and those can be completed from 10:00 AM PT January 17 until 10:00 AM PT on January
The behavior was so out of line that Respawn CEO Vince Zampella needed to bite the bullet and issue a formal apology on behalf of the company. The unprofessional behavior is a perfect example for other developers on how not to interact with a player b
This is a tough problem, and unfortunately, https://Apexherozone.com/Posts/apex-Legends-original-legends-still-dominate-after-six-years/ I’m not paid enough to solve it. But I would recommend that the game consistently adjust and re-roll lobbies based on performance in the previous games played in their recent histories. So, if a strong player plays two or three games in a row alongside other players at their skill levels, they default to easier lobbies for a while regardless of their own skill levels. Us potatoes will be fine with this as long as there are occasionally some lobbies where it’s possible for us to win as well. Regardless of how it's implemented, if SBMM is in the game, it should still always feel as though a player is facing off against random lobbies in public ga
Destiny 2: Shadowkeep may not be the biggest expansion set in Destiny's history, but it has elevated Destiny 2 to a place players always hoped the game would get to. There is so much awesome content to pursue and such an interesting, meaningful grind. Two months later and my raid team is still getting together most nights to play crucible, run the Pit of Heresy dungeon, or raid. Even jaded vanilla Destiny 2 players have come back and found the game they always wanted. Destiny 2: Shadowkeep is the most fun I've had in any game this y
Borderlands has the funniest personality on this list. Claptrap is known for his humor and explicit language. Many were upset to hear the original voice actor would not be returning for the third installment. Regardless, the series will still be forever impacted by this annoying, yet funny ro
Top Apex Legends players are making impassioned pleas for game developer Respawn to do away will skill-based matchmaking (SBMM). From their perspectives, it’s not fair that public matches feel as competitive — if not more competitive — than ranked games . This is indeed problematic, as ranked exists specifically so top players can compete at a top-tier level. Players who play public matches shouldn’t be subject to the same level of competitive p
Respawn has done an excellent job of listening to player feedback, and while I don’t know that the changes to SBMM will be instant, I have no doubt that the team there is listening to feedback. Algorithms are extremely tough to master, especially when it comes to a software product that’s still relatively new, like Apex Legends . If I’ve had Instagram for seven years and still can’t get it to stop showing me pictures of my friends’ babies, then suffice it to say players may have to be patient while Respawn masters its SBMM mathemat
At the end of the day, Epic Games wants to succeed as a publisher by hoarding exclusives, and time will tell if their strategy works, but it is clear that they are completely committed to their strategy and are not interested in the opinions of users who dislike exclusivity agreements. As a result, we can be sure to hear more as each new exclusivity deal is announ
Apex Legends made a powerful debut Q1 of 2019, EA opting for a bold “no marketing” tactic. Embodying the trends of 2019 by building on the popular battle royale genre, Apex Legends released on Windows, PS4, and Xbox One for free. Streamers contributed to the game’s success, but players stuck around due to the unique incorporation of ability-based heroes and a wonderfully addicting set of movement mechanics. Apex barely edges this one out due to Respawn’s slow-moving developmental support, but the fact that competitives and casuals alike have stuck around is a testament to the game’s impressive fundament
2020 and all years that lie ahead will continue to have similar responses from the player base if developers continue to demonstrate poor communication and greedy business models that milk their consumers for as much money as possible. Many game developers make no secret of wanting consumer cash at frequent intervals through expansions or special events, like Hearthstone or Fortnite , but those games hardly ever receive backlash in contrast because there is no deception there. They want your money, and they are up front about how they plan to do
